Bleargh. Stuck on my Yuletide story
Part of me is feeling that the 1300 words I've got so far are not what I want to write, and are just so much grist through the mill.
Another part of me just says "lop that off and just write teh hawt sexxorz!" (My recipient requested smut and by golly, I'm'a give her smut.)
See, part of the problem is that the prompt essentially calls for me to re-write a story I've already written.
As I told a friend of mine a few weeks back, the key to yuletide is: there's the story you want to write, and then there's the story you do write. Nobody, not even you, ever writes the story you want to write, but your recipient doesn't know that.
Methinks I need to take my own advice.
