[Nero felt stupid talking into a book but, fuck it, this thing had kept him up with all its useless noise. Least he could do was get something out of it and then go back to ignoring its existence.]

My pair broke after my last fight with the she-devil. Now I need new ones...I'd hate to start actually having to listen to people.

I don't know, portals? Magic? Sacrificing babies to a Demonic God, I don't know what their kinks are. But the first thing I think when I hear 'abducted' isn't wearing the right jacket for a probe, that's for sure.

[Damn, he hadn't meant to freak the kid out. For the most part, Nero had been joking. For the most part. Being a demon hunter he'd seen his share of weird shit but he didn't think they sacrificed babies to demons. Not when they were the demons anyway. Just kinda defied the point. Still, he'd spooked the kid, it was his job to get him off the ledge.]
