[Nero revved Red Queen for another combo, striking the tree trunk with continuous bursts of power in an effort to keep it midair for as long as possible. He brought down his sword in an ark, severing the trunk into two pieces and interchanging his sword for Blue Rose, firing a round of bullets to keep one piece midair with the momentum while he devastated the other with an aerial combo. Three slashes and it shattered into pieces of bark and sawdust.

The next piece he allowed to fall where it wished which was conveniently, near Raenef. Nero noticed blue hair among the green foliage and leaned on his sword, shaking his head.]

...You know, you're starting to give a guy the wrong impression kid.

Yeah, you do that a lot. Might not be such a good idea when you're about to get your skull cracked open by flying debris.

[In an unguarded moment he let himself smile, albeit a small, upward curve of his lips but a smile none the less. He scratched under the dragons' chin, answering Raenef in a distracted tone.]

I met one a few days ago. Had a face to face encounter with the barrier and got shot out of the sky. He was pretty big...thought maybe this one was his kid too.

[He turned his eyes away from the dragon and toward Raenef, catching the smile on his face. And then realized he was smiling back and couldn't pull his mouth into a frown quick enough. Stupid cute animals...didn't stop his hand from petting it though.]

Then this one's got a big brother roaming around you might want to watch out for. He looked a little rough but I doubt he'd start trouble unless someone started it first.

Might be true but the dragons here aren't protecting anything but themselves.

Besides, he's kinda small to protect much don't you think?
