[Nero wants to disregard the hand, it's never been his thing, but the kid's looking at him so earnestly he can't help but take it. Even he's not that much of a dick.]

Name's Nero and I guess we're both in the same boat Vivi. I just got dropped here too and the Malnosso couldn't even jack up the money for a welcome party. It's really about time I lodged a complaint.

[Nero paused for a second, contemplating. He'd never really considered there were other kinds of worlds other than his own. Probably explained why people were asking some pretty obvious questions.

He looked into Vivi's inquisitive face, not sure how to answer. His world wasn't exactly PG kid friendly. How do you condense bloodthirsty demons and psychotic humans into something that won't scare a kid?]

[Well, here goes nothing.]

It's...the kind of world where demons and humans live. They don't always get along so guys like me have to protect the innocent people caught in between so they don't get hurt. It's not always pretty...but it can lead to pretty good things.

[Nero let out a small, wistful smile, remembering Kyrie.]
