A Mark of Distinction.
Well, much to my surprise, I just got banned on the LJ conservatism community. Seems the moderator, heirtoruin, had jumped in to help melvin_udall bash another poster. The poster complained that he was being "tag teamed" by heirtoruin (who is supposed to be the moderator) and melvin. I had the same impression, and made the remark: "I'll volunteer to help pick on melvin!" Made in jest, but heirtoruin uses his power freely.
heirtoruin is also the mod of the LJ liberal community (oddly, as pointed out by many), which is frequented by trolls from the conservative side (like melvin_udall) - most of whom get a free trolling pass.
