It's a weird twist of fate ... that these high-level category hurricanes are pelting the US. After years and years of scientists and experts warning of global warming and the need to reduce greenhouse gases, etc. And many of the people in the US, happily living in denial ... buying more and more SUV's, mini-vans and other gas guzzling automobiles. The effects are devastating ... and apparently this is only with 1 degree increase of sea level temperature. It is scary to think what a greater increase in temperature will bring. It's too soon to tell if this will be repeated in coming years ... but a frightening prospect.
