"Real life Barbie? "

Mar 12, 2011 21:17

Back on March 5, I posted a couple of shots of amazingly lifelike (and sexy) doll faces. Earlier, I'd shown 10-12" anatomically correct dolls that lesbian friends had shot in provocative poses.

But several readers commented that the faces were from full-sized dolls, evidently replacing the blow-up cuties of yore. One mentioned Realdoll.com, so in my investigative-journalist role, I visited there.

I was amazed at the operation: they manufacture silicon-skinned dolls with varied faces and measurements, named Miss January, February, etc. -- "collector's editions" limited to the number of days in that month. They are a mere $5,500 each, and fully ...er, functional -- all to "entertain" the odd movie star, dotCom mogul, or whoever! It surely gives a new meaning to "boy toy"...and a second series of dolls is named that.

And there's this tidbit, "Maintaining a Boy Toy doll is relatively easy: removable orifices should be cleaned after every use and replaced in the doll for storage. The doll should be hung on the provided wall mount for storage..."

"removable orifices...replaced in the doll..." Sorry, but eeew!
