A new reader just indicated that my subbie post yesterday was a bit "beyond my range" -- prompting me to reply. Perhaps my ideas are of broader interest.

Hey, please, no problem -- you're posting just enough to be able to get to know each other! To be friends, as much as this new medium permits (or, in good moments, encourages).
Your thoughts interest me. I've tried over the 6 years I've been blogging never knowingly to make a reader uncomfortable. And I admit that this post, had I read it back at the beginning, would have boggled ME. Yeah, submission -- especially its more intense forms like slavery and BDSM gatherings ("munches," as they're curiously called) -- is a big jump from many people's comfort zone.
But I do enjoy your easy tolerance -- possibly even curiosity -- and I'll really try not to scare you off. (You're anything but timorous, I think...)
I also hope you aren't put off by me being an open lesbian. I have lots of pals here who are strictly heterosexual or charmingly bi. And we all enjoy photos of pretty girls. But, as they say, your freedom stops at my nose. (Which I've takèn to mean a punch in the nose -- though I imagine others expand that limit on one's action affecting another).
So, thanks again for your honesty, so sweetly expressed. "Girls Together Outrageously" -- but not too outrageously!

J
