But, on Flickr, I sent several messages to her. In one, I happened to include my Livejournal address. And -- guess what!? -- the site sent the god-damnedest message I've ever seen on the Net!!
I don't have the exact words, but the effect was "this address is unfriendly to Flickr, and we won't accept your message if it's there."
I took the address out, and the comment was accepted. The interesting thing is -- sure, I've been pissing all over them for weeks in connection with their crude censorship of photos I'm PERMITTED to post here. But I THINK I've sent requests for photos, containing my Livejournal address, to other Flickr members since then -- and never triggered THAT message!
As it happens, I told my French friend about my pissing match with the Flickr "police" and, as I said, this comment was after the email to her. I REALLY wonder whether they read my mail entering their system. Which would be OUTRAGEOUS, if true.
