Well, I'm a bit confused -- this seems NOT to be a self-portrait, at least judging by the many comments it attracted on Vanesa's Flickr page. She responded three times there, always charming and open -- but never confirmed (or denied) queries whether this was herself.
Speaking of those hundred or more comments, I was delighted to see so many women responding there there to her beautiful work. So, getting distracted from my original project (bad Justine...bad!), I looked up the most interesting commenters -- all of whom were new to me!
You readers with good memories may recall I did a little thing involving "Muses" a few months back. Well, given this treasure-trove of interesting women, unified only by their enthusiasm for Vanesa's fabulous shooting, I'm going to check out each of them and see if I can get permission to show you some of their terrific work. Here are the 24 photographers who allow their work to be blogged. (One is a slight ringer -- so far as I can tell, she shoots NO people, but I see she likes nudes among her favorites. We'll see how that works out!)
