Wow! What a deliciously intimate shot this IS! If I weren't already a girl's-girl, this would convince me that it was the way to fly.
Anna (who may or may not be one of these lovebirds) is from St. Petersburg -- no, you geographically challenged readers (one or two, maybe?), not Florida. Russia!
My SigOther and I were fortunate enough to visit there on a river cruise in 2008. OMG what a glorious city! Peter the Great's city! We even went out 25 miles along the ocean to his Peterhof palace! Oh, and I must mention the amazing art museum, among the best in the entire world, the Hermitage.
(No hermits in residence when we were there...)
Oh, one incredible impression we had: in one room, there were photos of the devastated Peterhof after the War. It is incredible how they have managed to rebuilt it perfectly. The Nazis even stole a huge bas-relief in AMBER stone, and the booty was lost in the chaos of the war. They had old photos, however -- and they replicated it down to the right shades of amber.
Oh, did I mention how gorgeous Russian women are?
