Evening chock full of news!
We fell into watching all the MSNBC news shows tonight -- Rachel, followed by Lawrence, followed by Brian. They were overwhelmed with hot items:
(1) tomorrow's Times AND Post will report on not-so-secret Russian efforts to hack the Ukrainean gas company where Biden's son had worked. Digging for the dirt that Trumpsky had vainly tried to extort from Zelensky last July, If this DOESN'T get the fucking USSenate to take his impeachment seriously, nothing will!
(2) Pelosi's meeting tomorrow with the Dems' caucus about forwarding the impeachment is thereby even more important. Her strategy of holding it up seems to be paying off.
(3) White House sources privately concede that they cannot prevent the Senate from hearing witnesses and getting documents to prove Trump's guilt -- so Bolton's damning testimony seems likely to emerge. There WILL be at least four Repub senators wanting to have a fair trial, witnesses and all, and that royal asshole McConnell is likely to fail in his wretched effort.
There is much more, suggesting that Trumpsky's "ass is grass," with a longer hearing on impeachment and growing uncertainty as elections kick into gear.
Yeah, Repubs still unlikely to actually convict the bastard -- but it all SHOULD convince enough voters that Trump HAS to go. Not least because renewed proof of Russian support for him HAS to stir a bit more patriotism -- overdue, but needful!
