With the above headline, my favorite Post columnist, David Ignatius, today discusses "Trump fatigue" -- having to put up with more and more bizarre news about the asshole who occupies the White House.
Among the things I learned in reading the op-ed, there are cool surveys of how many of his Twitter followers are disenchanted. It was measured by a bespoke Website with one of the best names I've seen in a long time -- "parse.ly" https://blog.parse.ly/post/7039/trump-fatigue-reader-engagement-post-election/
According to the site, demand for Trump stories declined 37.8% in Jan-June 2019 from the same period a year earlier.
More good news from David: only 8% of adults on Twitter say they follow Trump's tweeting, and only 4% say they regularly read it.
The Pew Research Center (likewise a great name!) found in June 2018 that 68 percent of those polled described themselves as "worn out by the amount of news." They broke down as more Repubs than Dems, more white than blacks, more women than men, and more college grads than those who finished high school.
And that was 15 months ago!
