I just set the cable to record an 8-episode HBO/BBC series that sounds pretty cool -- "Gentleman Jack," It was the nickname of a real 18th-century Yorkshire "landowner" (they mean having money and clout) named Anne Lister. a fierce lesbian.
Seems she kept an encrypted diary that has only recently been cracked.
