Good cartoon about impeachment
I get the Vero Beach hometown newspaper, the Press-Journal -- not much of a paper, merely "part of the USA Today network." But it does carry sindicated big-city columnists. And an occasional decent editorial cartoonist -- today, Nate Beeler of the "Columbus Dispatch."
He drew a pretty good parody of Peanuts' kid psychiatrist, with "the doctor is in." Instead of Lucy at the desk, there's an excellent rendering of Nancy Pelosi talking to "her patient," Linus with his blanket, which is labelled "impeach Trump." She is saying, "it's not worth it. Lose the blanket!"
That said, I did see Beto O'Rourke on tv yesterday. He, at least, opposes Nancy -- citing a half-dozen of Trump's most egregious crimes, arguing we need to proceed quickly. With his charisma and effectiveness on tv, Beto could make impeachment the centerpoint of his campaign heading for November 2020. It might even prompt Nancy to revisit her fucking priorities.
