A "fearful, mean and meek place"

The title above refers to the United States of America, with Trumpsky as president. The phrase comes from the lead editorial in today's Washington Post, headlined "Free to deport." It is part of a doomsday series entitled "The damage Mr. Trump could do."

The series asks the question few Trump voters have asked themselves: "what harm could it do to elect an ignorant, vindictive maniac President?" That is, protesting the status quo in such a fashion...

Thr Post says Trump's rough definition of who would be shown the exit totals some 5 million souls. Some 120,000 new Federales (including no fewer than 30.000 additional government LAWYERS to staff the "throngs that would jam immigration courts"). This would cost $400-600 billion, most of A TRILLION BUCKS!

The Post concludes that the program, all by itself, would cost much more: "A nation that expels millions of longstanding residents with deep roots in their communities is not a [world] leader; it is a fearful, mean and meek place, heartless and spiritually crabbed..."
