Bizarrely, the two diametrically opposed Justices are fast friends -- according to Ruth Ginsburg speaking with WPost. The occasion for the interview is the premiere this afternoon of an opera called "Scalia/Ginsburg" outside of Washington. (She will attend; but not him -- according to her, he's out of the country.)

But "WAIT," you exclaim! An opera about them?? WTF!? Well, there is, and according to her it's very good:

"...Derrick Wang [he wrote it] is a very talented young man, very clever. And as you know from his publication, he has documented almost every line in the script. I think it’s quite funny."

Yes, the lines are taken from Supreme Court records...

The Post asked her about another "contemporary" opera, the controversial "Klinghoffer," which she had seen. She replied: "... It's not anti-Semitic. [She is Jewish, as was the late Mr. Klinghoffer.] I think people who made that accusation have not seen the opera...Klinghoffer is portrayed as somebody you would really like, somebody with a sense of humor. I think there was vast misunderstanding."
