I don't know how many of you lovely readers know the Canadian vocal duo Tegan & Sara. (They happen to be much beloved of lesbians, which is how I got to know of them...) Per the above URL, which leads you to their official tumblr, they're appearing in Edmonton on June 6 -- during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2015 FIFA Women’s soccer World Cup played in Canada.
Won't have the global impact of last year's MEN's World Cup in Brazil, yeah, I know. But it is nifty that we lezzies are behind it!

BTW I'm blogging on the ol' laptop (though I'm more comfy on my BlackBerry, these days) -- which means I get to play a little game: the tags, which come from a 4-year-old list I did that is preserved on LJ, are what they ARE. As a non-paying member of LJ (for TEN years now!), I don't get any MORE tags -- so I'm amused to see what's available among my 400 or so tags. Namely: canada, sports, lezzie sites, queer.
