LJ's "Lesbian" site has a cool post yesterday on progress on gay marriage nationwide
There's a non-porn LJ lezzie site, and someone wrote well about recent legal efforts to eliminate bans on single-gender marriages: I extracted a bit of it:

"What the judge wrote in his summary was so wonderful, I thought I'd share:
" 'I believe that if we can look for a moment past gender and sexuality, we can see in these plaintiffs nothing more or less than our own families... not shadows lurking in closets... rather we see families committed to the common purpose of love, devotion, and service to the greater community.

As usual, I found some intriguing tags -- playing my goofy game of "repurposing" my OLD tags. Today's context: to describe this vivid social/cultural history being made in the U.S. and much of the world. Marriage equality, for such it IS.
One is a compound tag, "freedom.history" (I always choose four tags...) -- as one CAN do with tags, I followed it back to the original post for which I coined the tag.
