Boko Haram...
I just watched John Stewart's Daily Show from last Monday. (Both the best and lesst-than-best aspects of DVRs: you can watch the show anytime, so you catch it later than you might wish...)
Jon did an excellent job of slicing and dicing the wretched terrorist group that brazenly kidnapped hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls several loooong weeks ago. Nigerian authorities mishandled the mess; the ludicrously mis-named President, "Goodluck Jonathan," tried in vain to ignore it. And, certainly, it wasn't the media's finest hour (much LESS Rush "Asshole" Limbaugh's!). Jon went out of his way to heap scorn on the Islamic crazies who, as he noted, even Al Qaeda has in effect drummed out of the Muslim terrorist "mainstream".
And then he got off his best shot: noting that the girls had been literally heroic in trying to continue their educations in the face of threats by psychotic terrorists, he said that -- in comparison to them -- Boko Haram behaved like a bunch of little girls... "No," he mused, "they don't merit that compliment." The little girls, in fact, put the badasses to shame!
