Well put, Asher! That 'flutter in the heart" surely CAN be captured -- or even inspired -- by some photos. That may be a more succinct characterization of Sapphoria and this guy Summers (I'm only slightly put off by his initials being BS) than I wrote above.

Yes...wholesome eroticism...a perfect description. Those pictures are beautiful. They are using the romantic imagery of glossy magazine photos and movies to portray same sex couples--smooching outside of the cafe or lounging together in the countryside. The shot of the couple in New York (?) looks like the climax to a Hollywood RomCom.

Indeed! Of course, the calculated poses ARE just that -- an effort to "clean us up" and make us mainstream. Not that I'm in the market for raunchy sex -- not past a certain softcore zone, anyway -- but one does see a lot of quite rude girlie porn on Tumblr. And it's no doubt extremely erotic to some lesbians. (In fact, the lezzie stuff on Tumblr HAS been an explicit education for me -- until a couple of years ago, Playboy/Penthouse-style photos were about the extent of my vicarious adventures.)
