Beyonce, the feminist
Today's Post has a terrific review of Beyonce's fifth album, called (unimaginatively) Beyonce. It says it's "a hard pivot into idiosyncratic R&B...as vast and frisky as Prince's Sign o' the Times...most compelling since her 2003 Dangerously in Love" (which I adored!).
As a feminist, I'm turned on by her ***Flawless ("doesn't need the asterisks..."). She sings "...I took some time to live my life. But don't think I'm just his [Jay Z's] little wife."
