Snow -- and sunshine!
We awoke to a snowstorm in Washington this morning -- but it seems to be more benign than the weatherman predicted. We got 4-5" of wet snow, and the thermometer crept above freezing by noon; now it's melting away quite rapidly. (Which is a good thing, since the day after tomorrow [Thursday] the freezing weather is forecast to return, dropping to 18 degrees by evening!)
Meanwhile this storm has cleared off and we've got a sunny late afternoon. But I don't want to jinx it; let's just be happy for the moment. For her part, Joanne is out front, building a snowman!!
