Is it LJ?
I've noticed several users complaining that LJ is acting weird lately.
I just switched op-systems from Windows to "Ubuntu" (that's a Linux-based system by-passing a lot of the hassles out there) and it does seem a bit fragile. But some of my recent problems (which go away by rebooting) may well stem from blips in LJ.

I gotta add that the 4 tags I just came up with seem pretty "a propos" here -- not that my on-line issues relate to "icons," exactly. But I certainly "divorced" Microsoft, and the "dogs & cats, pending" pick up my sense that "Ubuntu" is pretty cool despite trivial stuff. It installed easily and I'm getting used to it quickly.
