Day 265: Darkness and Dawn., a photo by
SaylaMarz on Flickr.
Flickr's quirky little search thingie gave me a hard time recovering this shot by the delightful "Sayla" (her nickname perhaps referring to a "manga" character). It didn't love the combo of "Day" and "D&D" as a title, somehow -- but I ferreted it out. Giving me a happy excuse for looking through Brigid's large collection once again.
BTW If, gentle readers, you want to know her better (and, considering that her self-portraits -- often unclothed -- are delightfully revealing, who in their right mind would NOT?), I suggest you go and browse to your heart's content!
So, why did I choose this as the second shot of her? Well, there is that "window to her soul" thing -- her inquiring EYES (a tad exaggerated here)! This is a woman with a questing mind, folks -- possessing amazing energy and joi de vivre rare in an oft-indifferent society.
Can I be any clearer? I adore this gorgeous Chicago-based girlie, her friends, her lifestyle, her wide-ranging mind!

I try not to overdo talking about my tags here -- but I've added it since last featuring Brigid's work, so this's for HER, okay? These tags were ginned up several years ago, then abandoned as LJ pushed me to get a paid account if I wanted MORE than the several hundred I'd accumulated. A few months ago, I found I could still access them on these posts -- AND I enjoy the serendipity of bumping into old tags for new purposes.
So, anyway, the specific "dancing" tag (which I've used to excess lately -- click on it, you'll see!) dates back to the 2010 death of actress Jill Clayburgh, when I posted: "...I recalled Jill this afternoon, reading her obit -- she died so young! One of the [NYTimes] comments on it (by someone with the nick, "4ward") was "...Will never forget her carefree faux ballet dance in her panties in 'An Unmarried Woman.'"
