I was intrigued by an LJer's blog-name, so checked out her user info and found Kathleen's "bio" -- a picture of the saddest dog (contemplating some cupcakes!) in all Christendom: http://atheistkathleen.livejournal.com/profile
Heehee! You are SOOO cool about your Tumblr blogging! A regular Sherlock Holmes! BTW Joanne and I have really got into that American TV series "Elementary" -- but I recall you saying sic months ago that you weren't keen it it...are you still unimpressed?
No, I hadn't seen the "legend" GIF at all! (Interesting that Kathleen perhaps knows the people he/she owns...)
Oh dear. I am just a helpless pawn of Tubmlr. XD I think there is a whole story out there about this doggie, though. It was in some kind of animal program, maybe?
As for Elementary... ah, yes, still unimpressed, sorry. :D Can't help it, for me it simply does not work as a Sherlock Holmes adaptation. (As something totally else... maybe. But then again, I am not interested in something totally else.) And I still have this raging urge to hit JLM whenever I seem him, poor thing.
Sorry - the lead actor, Jonny Lee Miller! I am pretty sure he is a fine human being and a good actor, but I simply cannot stand one look at him. For some unfathomable reason the very sight of his mug vexes me terribly. Such things happen, I am afraid.
I think he is in the same position as my favourite Benedict Cumberbatch - many adore his looks, many think him hideous. :D Though frankly, most people I know think JLM really sexy. Cannot understand why. What gets me most (I think we have conversed about this once) is his whiny pose, plus those big puppy eyes. Makes me want to twist something hard.
I have always liked Lucy Liu as a person, because I think she's really clever (and hot, of course), but at the same time I think she is a slightly wooden, not very versatile actress. In Elementary, she seems to favour her traditional cool, sassy demeanor, which somehow fails to impress me as well.

You're right -- he's a slovenly dresser, and is indisputably ugly. I content myself watching Lucy Liu, trying to ignore Miller's looks.

(I get it, I am obnoxiously difficult. XD)
