Going by this new calendar photo, it looks like some kind of macrame/crochet. Very 1960s/70s, but it looks great on her. It does look like Cornwall too.

My favourite videos are: In Your Eyes Please Stay Santa Baby (TOTP Xmas Day version (wow, that was some Xmas treat!), but the version on Jay Leno's show is nice too.) On a Night Like This Confide In Me I also have a soft spot for Wouldn't Change A Thing because I looked so much like Kylie at that time.
Just saw the Wouldn't Change A Thing vid -- alternating amateur-looking footage of Kylie in someone's back yard (weird little frou-frou white bra) and several performances (loved her in the short white skirt, looking like lingerie). Fun to see YOU in 1989...
And couldn't resist checking out "Santa Baby" on Jay (back before he became the bloated, preening caricature of himself!). The song is a favorite "Xmas treat" of mine -- so I just googled it, I think it's the Eartha Kitt version that's a standard here (written in '53, it was once performed by no less than Marilyn Monroe*) Anyway, Kylie (with two sexy black girls doing a naughty back-up) nails it!
Also caught "In Your Eyes" -- gosh, what a frenetic vid** THAT is! (Evidently from the 90s MTV era -- with all the neon and simple-minded "special effects"). Liked Kylie even in those UGLY white pedal-pushers -- but also in the tunic seemingly made of vertical ribbons, which was adorably sensual (her tiny red panties quite visible underneath!)
Will catch more of these -- gotta get dressed for a workday (yeah, sometimes...).

I know the video you mean - Love at First Sight. I quite like that too. It's that short white beaded skirt from 1989 that I really like too, along with that hairdo and shoes. A little 1920s, but so very me.
I was trying to find the picture I've seen somewhere of Kylie with her white Mustang which I know would appeal to you. Apparently, her dad was a Mustang dealer of some sort.
In the meantime, there's a muscle car in Some Kind of Bliss, which was towards the end of Kylie's 'indie' Impossible Princess wilderness years, just before she turned back to her normal self. Not my favourite song in all the world, but it's ok. Impossible Princess is about the only album of Kylie's that I don't have and don't want, but lots of (weird) people think it's her best stuff.
It's a mid-60s Pontiac Lemans, and apparently filmed in Mexico. Do you know who the other girl was, wearing white?
I'll join you in not especially liking the vid of that "Impossible Princess" album -- but she has a few poses, even there, that I find wonderfully sensual. I notice she said a few years ago that she could "go gay" for Talulah Bankhead; but denied she;d ever acted on her bisexual attraction to some women.

Yay! I'm glad you're quite close to 'graduating' in all things Kylie. Even I never knew that about Talullah Bankhead - I thought she was really annoying in Lifeboat, so I'm surprised at Kylie finding her so attractive. Maybe she's seen different films to what I have.
The 'other girl' wearing white was Kylie too! I didn't see anyone else. She's wearing various 'disguises' but they're not very convincing disguises!

The very Barberella-esque Put Yourself In My Place video needs seeing. It's a bit of a sleepy song though.
I forgot to mention that Kylie has a younger sister, Dannii, who has also dabbled in singing, fashion and everything else. I quite like her nowadays. She used to make X Factor halfway bearable because you knew Kylie would turn up sooner or later.

I have seen photos of Dannii and read about her parallel life as a celebrity. She does seem a bit more open about her attraction to girls than does Kylie. In fact, she seems a near-uncloseted bisexual, no? (Kind of like Ellen deGeneris was in the early 90s...)
Oh, that is annoying! I hope this contact sheet with Put Yourself In My Place frames eases the frustration a little. The 'plot' is that Kylie floats into her spaceship in a pink spacesuit, strips off slowly in weightlessness and wraps herself in a red sheet whilst singing, then goes to her space bed. I like Jane Fonda in Barbarella, but Kylie just about edges it here.
Dannii is the upper one in that photo from Esquire. They don't usually look particularly similar, but in that shot they do. As you can see here, Dannii is the one in the silver dress, Kylie in the (slightly grotty) browny dress.
I didn't know that about Dannii being a bit bi-curious. I know she has a motorbike licence which is a little unusual for a girl, and she posed topless for 'lads' rags' which isn't the kind of thing Kylie would do. I guess she's the naughty one.
