A fave TV show
I just did a Tumblr reblog that includes eight cute shots of Maura and Jane, the "Rizzoli & Isles" characters that some of us love to speculate about. The second row from the bottom -- one with Maura saying "you can stay with me tonight" and the second with her getting into bed WITH a smiling Jane -- sure seems to say the characters are lesbians.
Revisiting the Wikipedia item about the show, however, I confirmed that it (pretty much THE definitive recap of all such subjects) has NO reference to them being sexually involved. On the other hand, both Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon (whom I adore!) have joked about the possibility in interviews.
Moreover, blog-hopping, I found out there is a hoard -- over 4,943 -- fanfic/femslash stories about them, including a dozen by someone nicknamed "Rizzles." You constant readers may recall that I'm attracted/repelled by femmeslash in general -- seeing it as an obsession that I don't need in my crowded life.

Okay, one more digression concerning my SILLY game featuring the tags here (speaking of obsessions!). The "femme" of the two -- really fussy about her clothes, looks, etc. -- is Maura; I identify more with Jane, but obviously enjoy femmie stuff. The "bondage" tag also struck me as apt, since both get tied up by the bad guy pretty often. (It makes almost as good an "inside secret" about the show as the duo's sexual connection per se...).
Which leaves the other two tags -- both from my 3-year-old tags list (which I continue to find amazingly relevant) -- about the characters' sapphic sides. Yes, "lezzie possibilities" galore!
