A blogger on Tumblr posted some beautiful Arabic calligraphy, the elegant swirls signifying "sad"...I reblogged it, adding the following comment

Were you thinking of Syria using poison gas? The Egyptian Army stealing the "Arab spring"? Yesterday's horrific bombing in Lebanon? Tenuous Iraqi peace (bought in US lives and treasure) fading fast? The Libya mess? Tunisia (where the Arab spring started) riven by sectarian murders?
Yeah, not to blame all Muslims for historical and geo-political trends not of their making...
