when some work hard and others can't be bothered

Well, the good news is that I managed to change my night duty to the following week, so I'm not doing LESS nights, just the same amount of nights at a different time.
well, it's a start.

I also acquired a few more weeks of Annual Leave which should help ease the pressure of the workload.

And the workload is pressuring.
I think I swore more today, i.e F-word and its derivatives, than any day in my first 4 years. I know this is bad but it's an important stress reliever.

Today we only had small cases but that meant the turnaround was high and as a result you really had to hustle. Pop-pop-pop-pop!! that's how it had to work, and there were times when it wasn't working like that purely on account of the colleagues that i had working with me sometimes.
And the frightening lack of staff. If you only have a list with 2 members of staff on it, you have to go fast and hard and keep going. There's no chance to have a quick cup of coffee or even pee!
And this is how the new hospital wants to work?
as usual, the roles are decided by the money-men rather than the frontline crew.

On the other hand I picked up my paycheck today. Pheewww! That's a nice amount of money, but I put the work throughout August so i deserve to get that cash. And as I'm working the next 3 consecutive Sundays (Day-Day-Night) I'm hoping that November's paycheck will yield a motherload too.
All that i have to risk is my sanity.

swearing, stress, work
