what a day.
Got up at some horrible hour on my day off to go to see the docs at 7.40am. That's as bad as when I used to queue with the methadone junkies in E&C in London to see Dr. Ashworth. Everyone was lining up at 7.45am rain or shine to see the good doctors in a first come - first served affair. What a life that was.
Now it's just a swift car journey over to the surgery to see the man. Who injects cortisone into my left shoulder. I also get to chat to him about my endurance and strength levels and how low they are sometime. He noted that I'm still on 6 mgs of Prognava a day and has planned to contact CX to see how he should progress with this. I suggested that he refer me to an endocrinologist, but hey, what do i know?
After coffee, West Bank dates (yummy) and a copy of Day & Age by The Killers for £6 I came home and spent the rest of the day sunbathing and reading. I finished 2 books in one afternoon!!!
And the 8th book of 100 Bullets.
It's a fascinating story so far. Graves is currently activating his hidden Minutemen (I know none of this will make sense to anyone but trust me it's cool) and some of the characters are amazing. And scary (Lono) and cute (Wiley) and called Victor (Victor). ;)
I think if I was a boy I'd call myself Victor.
Or Viktor.
I also phoned this spa and had a go at them over my pronoun on their letterheads. The girl at the other end of the phone sounded half disinterested half apologetic so she said she'd get the amended correspondence in the mail as soon as. Good!
*huff*
Tomorrow I go to work on a late shift. Poo. I'm seriously hoping I'm not in charge again.
I might have mentioned this all ready but I recently entered some of my photography in a work exhibition. Well it's up on the walls of the hospital and colleagues are commenting on it. And one of the 3 pics I've exhibited has won a prize!!!
It's only a £10 gift voucher for the local camera equipment store but hell, it's a prize right?
*glowing*
It's also nice to walk down the corridor every day and to see my artwork just hanging there. and knowing, 'Yep, I did that, it's got my name on the tag and people see it everyday'. I don't care if none of it sells, it's just nice to finally get something out of my boxes in my room and displayed to the world.
Or at least North Bristol NHS hospital.
