Dollhouse and Third Watch???

I've spent the last 2 days in the Urology theatres and while it has been interesting I am starting to lose rapid interest at how many different times cameras can be inserted up urethras. I grant you it's different depending on the sex of the patient but after you've seen it done a couple of times each it does become tedious.
Although saying that one patient did have a disturbing growth on the inside of their bladder. Looked horrid, caused a chorus of "oooohhh nasty!" to echo round the theatre and even the anesthetist came down for a look-see.

I've had today off though, and had to go for my chiropractor treatment. Man not only cracked me and caused me to grin like a loon but he also found I had a tweaked nerve in my glut (butt) and had to kneed that out with his elbow.
His elbow!
I was choking into the bench at that one, it was really hurting and making me cry. Weird creatures aren't we?

But I'm better now and I can hopefully go to yoga on sunday and perform sans pain.

The other thing I have to admit here is that while I read fanfic and write it on occasion I was not aware of the vast glossary of technical jargon that accompanies the field. AU, AR, A/N, H/C, IC, OC, OOC, PWP (which has 2 main meanings), etc, etc...
It's like learning a whole new language. I've never felt so intimidated since reading a surgical instrument checklist for the first time back in 2006.
That was a scary day.

Tomorrow I'm back in bladder-land and then on the weekend I have a date on the sat followed by a family dinner on the sunday.
and back to the work on the monday.

it's times like these when I wish the clock was longer than 24 hours. How can I write a 2000 paper and complete a portfolio in such time?
How?
I ask you?

But on the good side the sun has been shining all day, and that I think is one of the better things I've experienced this year. I think the winter has been far, far, far too long.
