breaking new ground

yesterday was amazing.

I got to put a kidney into someone.
WOW!!!

I did my first transplant case in the vascular theatre. The surgeon was fabby, and although it got a bit bloody and stressy at one point - the kidney got a bit grouchy while it was being plugged in - we got off the table fine with no obvious problems.
Although we did waste a drain.
But I'd never vacuumed a drain before so now I know.
Learn by your mistakes, that's my motto, and it's not like anyone died either.

Today I went and bought a cheap DVD.
Cabin Fever 2.
Yeesh.. i'm glad it was cheap. although it is inane in places, it does see Rider Strong getting run over by a school bus within the first 10 minutes so it isn't too bad.

I have 2 more days of work and then I get a whole week off to go and see friends in brighton, get to class (class ON my annual leave *sigh* taste my dedication), get my back treatment and just... chill.
here's hoping the weather's nice.

horror movie, self belief, accomplishments
