has been a real challenge.
we arrived to welcoming arms that became quickly not so welcoming on the part of my brother-in-law when he learned we are not the same religion. things were not great at that point, but we could still pussyfoot around it and allow sean to continue looking for a job. however the money we gave him to give to the manager to allow us onto the lease somehow never made it to her. so we were given one month to leave or they would get evicted too. such a nice husband my sister has.
in the middle of all this comes my ex-husband sicking child support division and the dept. of justice on me. now i said i had a job, but it is only three days a week unless someone needs a shift covered so i don't have the $$ they are looking for. begging and pleading and trying to get him to understand that i will be living in my car if he does not stop the process was not making headway at all; so incomes the call to his mother. between her and i we figured out a) he was just being vindictive b) he was just trying to get money because he is buying a new house and c)he wanted health insurance for our daughter.
vindictive. a man who would not let me have my child even when i was making enough money, could send her to a great school and clothe and feed her? a man who told me under no certain circumstances would he allow her to live with me if i was not in portland.
denial. a man who said he was doing this just for insurance for her. then later admitted he needed the money for his new house he is buying.
insurance. now he wants me to pay for TWO health insurance plans for her.
so all of this combined with sean still not having a job had made a fine mess of my head. luckily sheila mom (his) came to the rescue. we have yet to have the conversation between the two of us and i am not looking forward to it. the agreement stands that we go to parenting classes and arrange a fifty/fifty split of time so they can not come after either of us.
sean is going to a stage at tapalaya (cajun/creole tapas) tomorrow. *crosses fingers he gets the job)
and i just happened to work a billion hours this last month and we have a new house to move into in record time.
so things that seemed fine were not and now they may be for real.
guess i can't complain. and will be able to breathe enough to smile again.
