It's almost as if I never left.
San Francisco is exactly the way I remember it - on Haight.
Yeah, so I'm trying to live here afterall. I had a bunch of interviews/auditions for apprenticeship in some amazing restaurants studying under some amazing chefs. Hopefully I'll know if I got one or two of those. None of them will pay much, so I've managed to become someones personal creative assistant. Taking care of all these artistic projects that this guy wants done but doesn't have the time to do them himself. It's kind of a cool job. A lot of work, though.
He's a morning person, so I meet with him for breakfast at 8am - which is starting to wear me down. While I am typically a morning person, I've been getting to bed rather late the past few nights working on a specific project of his. I don't think he realizes this, but it's no big deal.

Right now I'm staying at a friends house.... he's married with a baby boy. I've been trying to help out with everything as much as I can, or at least stay out of their way. I need to find a very cheap place to live... cheap as in........ free. I think I'm on the right track.
So, my plans for moving have changed over and over - but I'm fairly certain that I'm going to make SF happen, no matter what.
I had an apprenticeship in NYC, but I can't afford to live there - I tried, it didn't work. SF is a bit better for me right now.
I can always go back to Chicago, too - but there are other issues with that.
I'm staying put.
