Texas was like a dream. We did the very usual family stuff, and I was able to spend a lot of quality time with my mom. We made a trip to Austin to see what it might be like to live there. Looks like plenty of shopping and a ton of bars. Texans and their bars - Oh, I do love the south.
Returned on the 29th, as planned and the following night was a special birthday dinner for A_s dad. 7 of us went to a posh restaurant called "Tru" where there wasn't anything on the menu less than $100, the waiters were synchronized, and the food was a total sensory overload. It was fabulous, and the bill was astronomical.
The last few days I've spent ripping up news papers, painting on a new canvas (and going through that creative distress where I hate everything I've ever done creatively), playing with a new and absolutely stunning metallic orange laptop, and to top it all off I've been wearing this kick ass "Salad Fingers" t-shirt.
I've got to say - I rock.
New Years was rung in properly (for my life, anyway) by playing a new simulated computer game until 2am.
And I forgot to call my sister on her birthday. I should be decapitated.
