Stupid City Laws
So Rachael comes home last night as asks me:
"Where is the trailer?"
Now.... having not moved the trailer in the recent past, that question strikes fear in my heart. Yes, the trailer is gone. No, I didnt move it. I go down to ask my neighbors if they saw anyone making off with the trailer and fortunately, Mike saw it being TOWED yesterday. Relief... yes, it sucks that it was towed... but at least it was not stolen.
Now I get to try to get a hold of the police department. I swear I called the police 20 times before I finally got through. And once I was through he puts me on hold.... for 15 mins. *sigh* The officer looks up the license info. Tells me which towing lot has the trailer. Why it was towed. and to have a nice day.
Apparently there is a law which stats that you cannot park your vehicle on the street for more than 72 hours.... Hope you dont get sick or go on vacation. Your shit is gonna get towed.
I call the towing yard (by now it's 7:30) and they tell me that they are closed but will be open at 7:00 tomorrow morning. Of course that means that there will be an additional day charged. So now I owe $253.45 when I pick up the trailer. I'm heading out that way in a few mins.... just wanted to write this up while Rachael gets ready.... :P
