NYU = Now You're Unemployed

My last semester of college snuck up on me yesterday. I was waitressing all the time and suddenly I'm sitting in lecture. Everyone suddenly looks so young on campus and I don't feel like I belong at school anymore. I'm eager to escape into the real world but it's intimidating. I'm the only Arts & Sciences student in my advertising management class and everyone has had these amazing internships. I have nothing to show in psych or marketing but I'm determined to make something of myself.

Last week when I was drunk at the tavern across from my apartment, I came up with a business idea that I think could really take off. I keep wondering why it hasn't been done yet but I'm scared I'll get stuck or overwhelmed doing this on my own. I need a web developer. I met a developer who said I could pull it off with at least $5K startup money, $10K and it would definitely work. That's a lot of money that I don't have, but at the same time, if I got enough people excited about it, it wouldn't be that much. I don't really care about making tons of money from this. I just want to start something successful and then have a reputation to jumpstart myself in the marketing field. I've been joking that this plan is going to make me a millionaire, but seriously...it could happen.

Mariah, Kirsten & I are finally all moved in together in our little bohemian east village apartment. Mariah and I got a puppy, who we named Philip Glass (even though she's a girl). Phil is more work to take care of than I expected, but we love her to death. The apartment is cozy and it's the best to feel like I'm coming home to family. I couldn't ask for a better living arrangement.
