Had first 1 on 1 with my boss in nearly a month and while we didn't address everything I think my fit issues may be more in my head than not. I recently had someone observe that they can't imagine I ever feel like I fit in anywhere, and it is true to a degree.
The upside of my current place is that I'm learning a shit load, even in the break/fix engineer role I have assumed. Ruby, team city, Tdd, angular.js, the list goes on. And that is part of my lousy feeling - the new stuff isn't easy, I don't have the feeling of mastery I've had in the past. But maybe being uncomfortable is worth it for a bit so I can learn?
