Every fresher has a dream of getting into a big organization. Some are successful while other have to compromise.
As a fresher I was interested in joining NCST, but some how couldn't get into it.
I joined Ugam Solutions (A Market Research) company (though it had nothing to do with research :) )on 5th August 2005
What is so special about this organization, to merit for a blog ? Definitely it was my first company to work with. After a rigorous training on market research tool named "Quancept" we all (trainees) were bought on floor (on floor means production environment, or we became billable resources). The ambiance of this organization was simply good. There was senior-junior concept (though was implemented at some level)
Initially my performance was terrible, but some how I had a good manager named Manoj Dhotre who always boosted my moral. I was the only trainee who was studying at that time (PGDST course from NCST). This guy always supported me for my studies and always granted me leaves whenever necessary. He was more a friend than a manager.
Most important thing I got good friends here. My dad says, you will never find friends in your office. I proved him wrong. Yogesh a.k.a. Hatthi, Atul a.k.a Mungi, Siddheshwar a.k.a SIBO, Amit a.k.a Maalik. It's been almost 3 years I have left UGAM, but still we are in touch with each other.
The parties of UGAM used to be rocking, because of which could enter 5-Star Hotels like Grand Maratha Sheraton etc etc.
This company was greatly influenced by US markets and since the tool in which I was working was not widely used and hence I had to take decision of quitting UGAM. It was indeed a tough decision for me as this company gave me enough liberty to study and management was good, though I was not benefited monetarily.
20th April 2007 was my last day at UGAM. Still I remember those days after night shifts going to Brabourne and Kyani Restaurants to quench our thirsts :p. I have only memories to cherish.
