have you ever noticed that people who are beautiful, especially boys, but sometimes girls too, go through a period in their youth when they absolutely have to do something to interrupt all their outward perfection -- like not washing their hair or getting an obnoxious tattoo in a ridiculous place (i.e. check out this grateful dead bear on my forehead)? usually, these interruptions just underline their beauty rather than obscuring it, which makes me wonder if these acts are not, in some sense, the height of vanity (not that i'm judging. however beautiful people manage their own extraordinary-ness is their own business).
i still really enjoy getting email from david plouffe, but i don't much care (and never did) for getting it from anyone else in the administration. even the ones from michelle and barrack, infrequent as they are, sort of annoy me. i have no idea why i have this reaction as it makes no sense.
i want to go see classical/modern/contemporary dance at a theater before the season is through this year, but i don't think i'll get the chance and that makes me sadder than it probably should.
i am rather bored, but i have to be at my desk. what do you guys think i should do to amuse myself?
