so what initially began as a quick myspace message to an old coworker to see how her job at md anderson is going, has now turned into a promising lead for a new job. my research position has been a real disappointment. mostly for the lack of research actually going on. my friend made the job sound so appealing that i just had to apply. granted, this would mean i would be returning to clinical work, but at least the patients would be more grateful and the doctors and staff would be more supportive. plus a patient nurse ratio of 3:1 sounds so much better than the 6:1 i was doing before. she's gonna put in a good word for me today with her manager. i already submitted my application and i'm gonna visit the unit sometime this week.
ahhhh....i hate changing jobs, but i just want to find a decent job with decent people. here's to hoping.
