my trip!
BUS STOP: ok, so i got to the bus stop at REI and hung around waiting to leave. and then Dane, a counselor comes up to me and goes, "guster! i went to see them in portland a few years ago!" (i was wearing my llama shirt) so that made me happy!
ON THE BUS: i sat with a girl named Becca, she is 14? i think. and she was really talkative, it was too early so i didnt talk much but she was really fun. she just got back from camp warren and knows Dori. so we watched star wars episodes 4 and 5. and i listened to my music and wrote in my journal. we stopped at tetagouche rest stop and ate our bagged lunches. how fun. and then back on the bus for another 2 1/2 hours or so.
CAMP DAY 1 and 2: so we got to camp and we were greeted by all of the staff. then we made a line and passed all of our crap down to the waters edge so it could be boated across to camp. (camp is on an island) and then we stood in a circle and Paul gave us a welcome. Paul is the director. Then our groups were called. My group went to sit in a circle and got M&Ms and for each one we had to say something about ourselves. Katie was my counselor and then there was Kathryn, Michelle, Sofia, and Anna. I love them all! so then we went across the lake and grabbed our stuff from the boat dock. i couldn't find my life jacket though! i was sad. haha. and then we put it in our cabin which we shared with Heidi's group. she is friends with Marissa Brauns older sister Amanda. and so then we went to plan our route which i will put up later. and our menu. and take our group picture. (which you will see sometime soon) and then to the health officer. then opening word, then dinner and stuff like that. then campfire with songs and such. then we woke up went to morning word, i found my life jacket, we did swim and swamp, sauna, packed our food, and stuff like that. then we painted a canoe we were going to take with. set up our tent, had dinner. and went to bed.
(i dont want to put it all up at once so i'll do a couple days at a time)
