I'm working again tonight. So much for vacation time!
Eh, it's all worth it for my little Wolfie! Though I do know that he's going to grow up into yet another ungrateful cat *laughs*.
Bear now gets excited every time the bathroom door opens. He loves Mozart but the only problem is that Bear can be extremely rough. He's used to wrestling with the 23 lb. Lestat or Mydnight, or even Sheba the Rotund! So...when it comes to a 3 lb. kitten, it's a little tough for Bear to think more delicately.
Though it was cute to watch them play Surprise Attack with each other while popping in and out from underneath my bed skirt.
Lestat is so huge compared to Mozart that he never had a problem with the kid to begin with. He just sort of sniffed and lumbered past him to go find another napping spot from day one. The only annoying part of Lestat's routine is that now he's rather happy with barging into the bathroom to eat up all the kitten's hard food and drink all his water.
Mydnight has no idea what to do. He's stopped hissing at Mozart and has now taken to cleaning him voraciously. Though when Mozart and Bear play, he just sort of sits and watches from a distance, dumbfounded. It's as if the concept of playing is so completely foreign to Mydnight now, as if he'd never done that sort of thing as a kitten himself.
Sheba and Foster are the two who really want nothing to do with Mozart. She still hisses at him if she feels she's not getting enough attention from Philip or I and Foster will go out of his way to spit at the kitten and hit him on the head. He's very old, cranky, and he's just sick of kids. Foster hasn't even taken a complete shining to Bear yet and maybe he never will.
So that's an update on the kid. Now mommy is off to make more money to pay the damned vet bill and still have a bit of cash for Boston tomorrow!
Oh and did I mention that VAST is playing tomorrow at Harper's Ferry? Jon Crosby is responsible for the sometimes club favorite, "Pretty When You Cry" though I like his newer albums better. I think that tickets are already sold out at least online but I bet you could buy them at the door if you like. They are something like $17.50 each.
Alright, off to work again!
Ta!
