Well, while it seems that Anime Central has added more guests, most of the guests they have are con regulars, that seem to be at every other con I look at. They currently have maybe 3-5 guests that I haven't seen much in the convention scene. They also only have one Japanese guest at all, and no band so far. Last year they had Vic Mignogna, Beau Billingsly, Steve Blum, and The Pillows...this year they don't even have a single band lined up so far. If the line up doesn't shape up real soon here, I may just stop caring about the fact that I don't have enough money to go. Heck Anime Iowa has a third of the number of ACen guests listed, and AI is still 4 months off. Admittedly, they probably won't get any more guests before the con, but at least I know who's going to be there, and whether or not to care now, rather than a month and a half before the event itself. I really like Anime Central, but they seem exceptionally disorganized this year.

On a side note, I briefly considered attending Gooncon since it's in Chicago, and over that weekend I turn 21, but I probably won't for the following:

1) Travel costs
2) Hotel costs
3) Con costs
4) As far as I can tell, there aren't really "set" activities
5) There are far better ways I could spend my 21st birthday, I'm sure.

Oh well...guess I still won't be able to see Shaun...darn, I still need to mail out his and Beth's Christmas presents T_T Jeez I'm disorganized.
