All is well.
I was able to breech the topic with my mother. She really didn't give a lot of feedback. The most important part of the entire four or five sentences that she shared with me was the final one "I love you no matter what." That really means a lot to me, and gives me a lot of encouragement.
She was not too interested in getting a lot of information or resources right now, however. I think she's worried about my father discovering this soon. She agreed with me that he would probably not be nearly as accepting initially at least. So, getting her information is going to be difficult if I am not sharing it with him as well. We'll figure it out as time goes on.
It is snowing outside, so I've got to head back home shortly if I'm going to have any chance of making it before the real accumulation begins. Here's to a safe trip!
