Congratulations you three. You are my friends that know that I am transgendered. Though, to be perfectly honest, you are basically my friends on LJ. Most of the other people on my friends list don't update much these days, and I'm pretty sure no faceless anonymous internet browsers are reading my journal.
Anyway, I'm glad that I have finally managed to come out to all of you. I will be posting pertinent information as it comes to light here. If any of you have any questions or comments...well, there's a comment section, and it allows each of you to see the others questions too. How convenient.
So, the latest information is that my parent's still do not know that I am transgendered. I know that I will tell them, but am still deciding whether I should do it before or after the holidays. I am leaning toward after the holidays due to time constraints. We'll see.
I have decided that I am going to do electrolysis for my facial hair at least, and I am going to begin hormone therapy as soon as it becomes financially feasible. Hopefully this will be early next year. We will see how that goes, depending on school and my job situation and whatnot.
If anybody wants links to good websites with information on any trans topic, feel free to ask. If I feel so inclined, I may do some linking in upcoming posts on my own. We'll see.
I am thinking about keeping a journal or diary or something of my feelings and experiences, and doing that for a long period of time during transition. We'll see how that goes, since I have a habit of coming up with ideas like that and then never really fulfilling them.
Anyhow, that's it for now. I'll close on the note of my current decision-making process.
I get to come up with a name for myself. How cool! It isn't often that you get to decide your own name.
The top choices that I have narrowed it down to so far at least are:

Elizabeth (or Liz, or Beth)
Giselle
Rebecca
Mary
