Remember Route 666? It's the single episode of Supernatural that I've only seen once. There's a reason for that apart from me cringing through Dean's sex scene. I have a strong feeling that this episode is gonna be another one.
This episode was, I have to admit, interesting and out of the box. But it bored me very, very, very quickly. I would've thought they've learned that we generally dislike episodes that take the focus away from the boys. Yes, perhaps after 8 seasons Jared and Jensen could use the break, but it's not our show if it's not the SamandDean Show, y'know? At least to me, anyway.
The characters were pretty nicely written, sure, but if I wanted to watch college kids filming themselves all the damn time I wouldn't watch this show. In fact, I wouldn't watch college kids filming themselves all the damn time anyway. Like I tweeted, if I'd paid to watch this episode, I would've choked someone at the end to get my money back.
I wouldn't touch the "office romance" thing because, y'know, what else is new? They're gonna have to do better than that to make me squee. ESPECIALLY because, "they just sat and talked about how they've been apart for a year". REALLY? We got Winchesters TALKING THROUGH THEIR ISSUES and they glossed it the fucking over? Dumb move. So very dumb.
And, whatever. Dean's world view is flipped now because he has a vampire boyfriend. Yawn.
