The Dean already is Michael thing scares the crap out of me, too - between the shiny white eyes (reflection or Michael???) and the being able to kill Zach thing.... but I keep telling myself that no, it can't be, because if Dean WERE Michael, he'd be dragging Sam straight to Lucifer to use... because Michael wants to have the epic smackdown, right? And he needs Lucifer in Sam's body, right? Right? *chews fingernails*
I always got the impression that the point wasn't just to kill Lucifer, but to ... not start the Apocalypse, since that's already started, but to ... play it out in a certain way? A battle rather than an assassination, brother v. brother in terms of angels and meatsuits?
Otherwise, IDK why the angels wouldn't have just made that argument to Dean... you don't have to kill your brother, you just have to let Michael in long enough to kill Lucifer in his other meatsuit?
Yeah. You're right. I guess I just thought that with a true vessel it'll be gradual? Like, Michael could be inside Dean right now without them knowing it just because he'd thought about saying yes? I like to scare myself. Don't mind me. :P
