Hope this is okay. A little heavy on the librarian maybe.
Serendipity of Browsing (the pleasant experience you have when strolling around shelves and shelves of books)
The library was never that quiet. This wasn’t that kind of library. No old spectacle wearing librarian ordering small children to hush or tapping signs that said “Silence Please”. Just a nice kind of friendly hush. A reverence for the books, for the information they contained, for the other users concentrating on crosswords or on finding just the right novel. Jensen enjoyed the hush. And he supposed he did have spectacles after all. And wore sensible knits, like the brown sweater vest protecting his shirt and tie.
He had finished shelving the returns and was wondering about some shelf tidying when the loud laugh echoed across from the audio-visual section on the mezzanine. His was not the only head that shot towards the noise. It wasn’t an unpleasant laugh, anything but. Jensen wanted to smile along with the person’s obvious joy but he couldn’t have his patrons disturbed. Maybe he could persuade the guy to bring it down a notch.
He straightened the wire-rimmed spectacles on his nose and started to climb the stairs. Maybe the guy just didn’t realise how voices carried from the top deck. All that open space made any noise echo around the rest of the library. The guy had his back to him and let out another laugh as Jensen headed past the rows of tables. One of the older men who always came past in the morning to read the newspapers and flirt with the library assistants rustled the paper and made that sound of disapproval that old people make so well. Jensen smiled apologetically as he reached the laughing man.
It was only when he got closer that he realised that the guy was taller than he was. He looked like he could take Jensen in a fight too, broad shoulders and biceps straining against his slightly too tight blue t-shirt as he reached for something at the back of the racks. Jensen hoped he wasn’t aggressive. He didn’t deal too well with aggressive. The laughter would seem to indicate differently anyway. Jensen coughed to get his attention. Then he noticed the guy had earphones in. Must be listening to something funny.
Jensen wondered for a moment about waving a hand in front of his face or poking him in the side. That would be a little rude, however. He stepped around to the man’s side and looked up at him quizzically. The guy had longish hair, longer than Jensen normally liked. It hung down messily as if he had not combed it properly when he got out of the shower. His nose tilted upwards and a broad grin stretched deep dimples into his cheeks. Jensen found himself staring, hand outstretched to do... something. The guy let out another full on laugh, tipping his head back to reveal miles and miles of golden tanned throat. Jensen swallowed.
“Ah...” he began hesitantly. Then he reached out his hand and lightly pressed it against the guy’s arm. The t-shirt was soft and warm under his hand and the muscles flexed as the guy turned to see him standing there. Jensen left his hand there a little too long before realising what he was doing.
The guy’s eyes widened as he took in Jensen and he pulled the ear phones out by their thin cords. “Hey.” Jensen could hear a tinny voice coming from the small white discs.
“Just asking if you could keep the laughter down a little. You’re scaring the kids.” Jensen smiled to take the sting out of the request. He was blinded by the guy’s smile back at him.
The guy looked a little abashed even though he was grinning a little manically. “I kinda forgot.”
“Well, just so you know.” Jensen didn’t know what else to say. He stood there for a moment drinking in the slanting hazel eyes that matched the hair and the glorious sweep of his cheekbones. Then he turned and headed back to the desk.
Serendipity of Browsing Pt 2akadougalDecember 23 2009, 14:34:23 UTC
Dani was on her break when the guy came down the stairs, the ear phones dangling at his neck. He had a couple of CD cases in his hand as well as a couple of old school SF novels. Jensen found himself focusing on the guy. The rest of the regulars had pretty much drifted out and he was suddenly aware that they were the only people here except for the woman clicking on the computers at the far end of the stacks.
“Did you find what you needed?” Jensen asked, his tongue too big for his mouth.
The guy was standing under one of the hot air vents and it drove the scent of his aftershave across the desk. Jensen found himself leaning forward to drink in more. The guy leaned closer too.
“I’m new in town and I guess I need to sign up.” He spoke in a low-pitched voice, determined not to break the hush, and Jensen found himself rubbing against the issue desk in a manner that was probably against everything in the librarianship charter. “I promise to keep the laughter to a minimum in future.”
Jensen nodded in a daze. Then he realised what the guy was asking. He pulled back from the desk and dug under it for a joining pack. Part of him was cheering. He would now get to know all the guy’s pertinent details. His name. His address. Even his phone number. He dug out the correct form and slid it across the desk and then grabbed a pen to hand over. The guy’s hand - warm, soft and oh so large - closed briefly against his as he took the pen. Jensen bit on his lip and hoped his face wasn’t flushing. He’d felt a surge of warmth at the touch.
The guy scribbled on the card as Jensen turned to the computer beside him and brought up the correct screen. He had clicked a few of the basic boxes before the guy finished up, scrawling his signature with a flourish. “Thank you, Mr Padale...”
“Padalecki. Jared.” The man didn’t seem put out by mispronunciation. He was still smiling at Jensen, openly, easily. Like a friend would.
“People struggle with my last name too,” Jensen added, starting to type in the details to the computer. He could focus on that rather than on the man - Jared - beside him. “Long a or short a. Which syllable to emphasise. But not as much as yours.” He was now talking nonsense. He stopped.
Silence developed uncomfortably for a few minutes. “So what’s your name, then?” Jared asked, finally.
“Ackles. Jensen Ackles.” Jensen smiled at him only to be surprised by Jared suddenly seizing his hand and pumping it up and down enthusiastically.
“Pleased to meet you.” Jared’s grin brightened if it was at all possible. “Got to get to know as many people as possible, you see.”
Jensen let Jared shake his hand, didn’t try to draw it back at all, which led to the rather awkward realisation that he was basically holding another guy’s hand at work, which, regardless of his own preferences, just was not professional. He had degrees. He ran this place. This would never do. The guy was a borrower, a patron. He still didn’t want to let go. “So,” he said, finally getting the willpower to take his hand back, “why did you move? Job? Wife? Girlfriend?”
“Job. I’m very single and available.” Jared actually winked. “And that’s not my type.”
“Long term relationships?” Jensen just had to be sure he wasn’t misunderstanding Jared’s implication there.
“Girls.” Jared grinned. “Was sorta hoping you’d pick up on that.”
Jared’s gaydar was obviously better than Jensen’s. Jensen let his mouth open and close a few times before he realised he probably looked like a goldfish. “I’m...” He looked up. The grin had gone from Jared’s face, replaced with a more serious expression, one Jensen couldn’t quite read.
Luckily or otherwise, Dani chose just that moment to roll up at the desk. “Hello there.”
“This is Dani, one of our library assistants,” Jensen introduced, automatically. “I’ll just get these CDs for you.”
Serendipity of Browsing Pt 3akadougalDecember 23 2009, 14:35:09 UTC
As he dug in the drawers to pull out the correct CDs and place them in the empty boxes, Jensen wondered rapidly what to do. He was no closer to making a decision when he’d completed the task and turned back to Jared. Dani was half-sprawled across the counter in a way that Jensen realised he’d been probably doing earlier. Jared stood slightly further away this time and looked slightly panicked. Dani could come on a little strong.
Jensen grinned. Jared looked at him begging for help. “Let’s just get these issued.” He moved Dani out of the way with a smooth hip check and scanned the barcodes. When he’d neatly stamped all Jared’s items, explaining the borrower limits as he did so, he turned back to Dani. “You okay for the next hour? I thought I might take Jared to lunch, show him around a little.”
Dani regarded him, eyes narrowed for a moment. Jensen could almost see the wheels turning. He saw the moment realisation dawned. “Sure thing, boss. You could just take the afternoon off. Gen’s in at one.”
Jensen looked over at Jared whose grin was firmly back in place. He had knelt down to put the books and CDs into his backpack and his head was tilted back, looking up. Jensen had a sudden flash of his cock slipping against those smooth lips. “Maybe I should.”
He grabbed his coat and headed to the exit with Jared at his side. Jared leaned over to nudge his shoulder against Jensen’s. “Do this for every new borrower?”
“Just the loud, annoying ones.” Jensen brushed his shoulder back, feeling the warmth of Jared’s arm rush all the way to his toes.
“Just wait till I get you in bed. Then you’ll know the meaning of loud.” Despite the cheesiness of the line and the obvious grin on Jared’s face, Jensen felt a shiver of desire rush through him at the promise.
He barely stuttered as he forced the words out. “So, how about we skip lunch?”
And the follow up. Erm.akadougalDecember 29 2009, 02:47:13 UTC
So library porn in this one.
“I told you to leave me alone!” Jensen shouted through his shut door. The knock merely came again and then the door rattled when he didn’t answer. He’d locked himself in here to deal with all the budgetary considerations. The door rattled again.
Jensen sighed with exasperation as he unlocked the door and threw it open. “Dani...”
It wasn’t Dani standing there. Instead Jared stood smiling his patented million-watt smile. It didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Dani told me you’d locked yourself in here all day. You skipped lunch.”
Jensen couldn’t take the concern in Jared’s voice. “I had a sandwich in here. And coffee.”
“Too much coffee.” Jared took in the empty pot and the three discarded filters lying beside it. “What are you working on?”
“Budget. I need to find $400 in order to make sure that I can keep the Children’s storytelling. But I can’t find it. I don’t want to cut anything else.” Jensen ran his hands through his hair like he’d been doing since around quarter to nine that morning. He looked past Jared to see the library empty and Dani sitting beside the door in her coat. “Guess it got later than I thought.”
“Dani called me.” Jared waved at the girl. She stood up and went to the door.
“And now he’s out of the office, can you ask him to lock up after me?” She slipped out the door before Jensen could respond. He headed across the floor and turned the keys in the lock. He leaned back against the door, exhausted.
Jared stayed put. “Why don’t I have a look? Fresh pair of eyes and all?”
“Why are you here, Jared?” They had been on a total of four dates. If you counted the day they’d met. And they’d spent most of the time in bed... or out of bed and on the couch. Or the floor. And once on Jensen’s kitchen table.
“I was going to come past and see if you wanted dinner in the let’s-skip-dinner-and-order-take-out later way.” Jared looked hurt. He unfolded himself from the doorway and walked towards Jensen. “On the other hand, I might be able to help you. There is a brain here too.”
Jensen didn’t think he’d even stopped to ask Jared what he actually did for a job. His mouth was always too busy on Jared’s lips or around his cock. He put his hand out to stop Jared leaving. “Maybe we should have a date where we actually go to dinner. I’m sorry. I just... The city are thinking of cutting the budget and I can’t even get it do everything I need it to do and I was an English major and librarianship doesn’t really prepare you for all that Math stuff...” Jensen ran down on his litany of complaints.
Jared leaned against him, touching foreheads. “I work in a bank, dude. Accounts manager. Boring as hell but I’m a little good at that Math stuff.”
Jensen gaped in amazement. “You’re the perfect man.”
Jared grinned, this time a little more genuinely. “You going to blow me if I find your money?”
Jared walked back to Jensen's office, pulling off his jacket as he did so and dumping it over a chair. "Show me what you're looking at."
Jensen smiled and trotted across. He was quick to point to the files he was working in. Jared gathered them in his arms and brought them out. He spread them out on the tables and started reading. Jensen stood awkwardly as Jared became engrossed in the balance sheets. He wasn't sure what to do. He might have wrung his hands nervously.
Jared looked up and caught him gnawing on his bottom lip. He grinned wickedly. "How about every time I ask a question, you remove an item of clothing?"
Jensen looked a little like a rabbit caught in the headlights of an oncoming juggernaut. Then he nodded, agreeing. He couldn't speak and he felt his cheeks warm.
Jared laughed that free, almost too loud laugh. "Can I use a highlighter on these?" Jensen nodded. Jared looked pointedly at him. Jensen thought for a moment then pulled his sweater over his head. Jared thought for a moment. "Can I borrow a highlighter then?"
Jensen reached across the issue desk and snagged a pink pen. He handed it to Jared. Jared folded his arms and tapped his foot. Jensen pulled off his tie and folded it neatly on top of his sweater. "I don't know that you're quite into the spirit of this."
Re: And the follow up. Erm.akadougalDecember 29 2009, 02:48:03 UTC
He bent his head to the files again. He muttered and underlined as Jensen moved around, switching off computers and pushing in chairs. Jared was moving the paper around. He reached for a piece of scrap from the top of the desk then stopped. "Could you get me a piece of scrap paper, Jensen?"
Jensen wandered across and grabbed a piece to hand over.
"Can you get me a pen too?" Jared pointed at the pen obviously sitting near the front of the desk. Jensen looked a little pissed so Jared leaned over and kissed him hard and dirty. "Shoes," he ordered. Jensen toed them off quickly.
"Come here. Why do you need to spend $100 on Christmas decorations every year?" Jared pulled Jensen into the circle of his arms and pointed over his shoulder.
"That's our candy cane budget."
"Much as I like candy, do you really need it? Don't you get lots of gifts?" Jared sounded perfectly reasonable. 'You could give them out instead." Then his voice dropped and he whispered into Jensen's ear. "Socks. Now."
Jensen shivered as he bent to obey. Jared slid his hand across Jensen's ass through his trousers. “I’ve got a lot more questions, you know,” he continued in the same low tone. Jensen felt a shiver tease its way up his spine.
“What next?” he asked as he stood back up. He felt Jared smile against his neck and then place a soft kiss there.
Jared asked him about a few other entries in the accounts, managing to find nips and tucks here and there that would allow Jensen to keep the storytelling going. By the time they had finished, Jensen was standing in only his boxers. He gathered together the papers, now with Jared’s neat notations and placed them back in his office. It was way beyond the time he usually left. He ran a weary hand over his eyes and stepped back outside.
Jared was still waiting there, eyeing the empty issue desk. He turned to watch Jensen walk slowly back to him. “Just remembering the way you spread yourself across this the day we met. Good times.” He paused. “One more question?” he asked.
Jensen slid his fingers inside the waistband of his boxers and slipped them down over his thighs. He stood there naked. “I could ask one.” He started stalking over towards Jared. “Why are you still clothed and I’m naked?” Jensen stretched up and fitted his lips over Jared’s. He kissed him deeply and fully, sliding his tongue inside Jared’s mouth the moment it parted on a moan. He felt his cock stir.
Re: And the follow up. Erm.akadougalDecember 29 2009, 02:48:48 UTC
Jared pulled back, his eyes near black with arousal. “Are you sure? Not too tired?”
Jensen looked at him, properly. Right on the tip of his tongue there was a cheesy comment about how he was never too tired for Jared’s cock, but something made him pause. The guy had gone out of his way to help him (even if he’d turned it into a sex game) and was asking him if he was okay now. This was not something Jensen had come to expect from the fact they’d only really had sex as many times as they could in the past few weeks. This was the concern of someone who cared.
Jensen shook his head slowly, aware Jared was waiting for an answer and then leaned in again. This time he didn’t kiss filthily or moan deeply. He kissed tenderly and gently and lovingly. Lovingly. Maybe that was something that could happen here. Jared was happy to go along with it.
They broke apart, both rather overcome by the intensity of the kiss. “Maybe we should go to dinner?” Jensen suggested.
“Mmmm.” Jared agreed, although he was looking down the length of Jensen’s body. “On the other hand, I have this hot librarian all naked for me now.” Jared’s voice had dropped low and dirty again, and Jensen felt his cock stir. He grinned and turned around, placing his legs apart and leaning over the issue desk. He suddenly didn’t really care that he looked like an enormous slut. He and Jared had enough time to talk more. Later.
He was shocked to feel Jared drop to his knees behind him and spread his cheeks wide. He started to stand up when Jared growled, “Don’t move.” So Jensen didn’t, even though he was hard pressed to keep still when Jared’s tongue licked across his sensitive hole. Jared seemed to enjoyed licking and pressing the point of his tongue into Jensen. Jensen whimpered when Jared stopped. He didn’t have long to complain, as Jared’s fingers were pressing up into him, slick and cold.
“Guess you were prepared.” Jensen grunted out.
“For you? Always,” Jared said, sounding out of breath. He curled his fingers to reach just the right spot inside Jensen, who couldn’t help the gasp he let out at the sensation. He desperately tried to find some friction to relieve his aching cock. Then Jared was standing up and pressing his cock where his fingers had been. He slid in slowly, letting Jensen adjust. He slid his hand around Jensen’s shoulders and tugged him up for a sloppy kiss, both of them too needy for any finesse.
It didn’t take long for them to come, Jensen’s moans turning to near screams as Jared thrust deep inside him. Afterwards, Jensen licked his come from Jared’s hand. He’d never be able to look at the issue desk in the same way again.

Erm. So yeah. No more. Hopefully.
